Tool Generation

Generation Failed

Solutions:

  1. Rephrase your prompt to be more specific
  2. Break complex tools into simpler ones
  3. Try again after a few minutes
  4. Contact support if the issue persists

Generation Takes Too Long

Symptom: Tool is stuck in "Generating" state

Solutions:

  1. Wait up to 2 minutes for complex tools
  2. Refresh the page to check current status
  3. If stuck for 5+ minutes, try creating a new tool

Tool Execution

Execution Timeout

Symptom: "Execution timed out" error message

Cause: Tool exceeded 30-second limit

Solutions:

  1. Reduce input size
  2. Simplify the tool's logic
  3. Split into multiple smaller tools

Unexpected Output

Symptom: Tool returns wrong or unexpected results

Solutions:

  1. Check your input format matches what the tool expects
  2. Review the generated code to understand its logic
  3. Create a new tool with a more specific prompt

Runtime Error

Symptom: Error message during execution

Common Causes:

  • Invalid input format
  • Missing required dependencies
  • Code generation issue

Solutions:

  1. Verify input matches expected format
  2. Try regenerating the tool
  3. Report persistent errors to support

MCP Connection

Server Not Appearing

Symptom: anytool server doesn't show up in Claude Desktop

Solutions:

  1. Verify MCP config file syntax is correct
  2. Ensure you've restarted Claude Desktop
  3. Check the config file is in the correct location
  4. Look for error messages in Claude Desktop logs

Authentication Failed

Symptom: OAuth flow fails or loops infinitely

Solutions:

  1. Clear browser cache and cookies
  2. Try a different browser
  3. Ensure you're logged into anytool
  4. Check for browser extensions blocking popups

Tools Not Discovered

Symptom: MCP connected but AI can't see your tools

Solutions:

  1. Verify you have at least one tool created
  2. Restart the MCP client application
  3. Re-authenticate the connection
  4. Check tool privacy settings (must not be deleted)

Account Issues

Can't Sign In

Solutions:

  1. Verify email address is correct
  2. Check spam folder for verification email
  3. Try password reset if using email auth
  4. Try different OAuth provider

Rate Limit Reached

Symptom: "Rate limit exceeded" error

Cause: Exceeded daily tool generation or execution limits

Solutions:

  1. Wait for limit reset (midnight UTC)
  2. Contact support for limit increase
  3. Consider upgrading to premium (coming soon)

Performance

Slow Tool Execution

Possible Causes:

  • Large input data
  • Complex computations
  • High server load

Solutions:

  1. Reduce input size if possible
  2. Simplify tool logic
  3. Try again during off-peak hours

Dashboard Loading Slowly

Solutions:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Disable browser extensions temporarily
